Anarchism and Anti-Capitalism

Left Turn — United States. A network of revolutionary socialists and anti-capitalists involved in struggles against globalization, imperialism and war, police brutality and for workers’ rights.

North Eastern Federation of Anarcho-Communists — A bilingual (French and English) organization of revolutionaries from the northeastern region of North America who identify with the communist tradition within anarchism.

Food Not Bombs — Worldwide. Each group recovers food that would otherwise be thrown out and makes fresh hot vegetarian meals that are served in city parks to anyone without restriction. The groups also serve free vegetarian meals at protests and other events.

Global Justice

50 Years is Enough — A network of over 200 member organizations in the US, and over 160 partner organizations in other countries, that builds partnerships to overcome global economic injustice by working toward people’s greater control over the resources, structures, and economic policies and processes that affect their lives.

BIC - Bank Information Center — An independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that provides information and strategic support to NGOs and social movements throughout the world on the projects, policies and practices of the World Bank and other Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs).

Global Exchange — A human rights organization dedicated to promoting environmental, political, and social justice around the world.

Jubilee USA Network — Jubilee USA Network is a diverse gathering of people and organizations working towards debt cancellation. The network includes labor, churches, religious communities and institutions, AIDS activists, trade campaigners and over 9,000 individuals.

Mobilization for Global Justice — Washington, DC. A coalition of individuals and organizations hosting activists from across the nation and around the world to challenge the policies of the IMF and World Bank during their annual meetings

People’s Global Action — International. PGA is a network for spreading information and coordinating actions between grassroots movements around the world.

SOA Watch — An independent organization that seeks to close the US Army School of the Americas, under whatever name it is called, through vigils and fasts, demonstrations and nonviolent protest, as well as media and legislative work.

World Bank Bonds Boycott — An international grassroots campaign that is building moral, political, and financial pressure on the World Bank through a boycott of the bonds that the World Bank issues to raise most of its funds.

Palestine

International Solidarity Movement — A Palestinian-led movement of Palestinian and International activists working to raise awareness of the struggle for Palestinian freedom and an end to Israeli occupation.

Radical Media and Alternative Press

AK Press — A workers-owned collective with the goal of making available radical books and other materials, titles that are published by independent presses, not the corporate giants, titles with which you can make a positive change in the world.

Alternative Press Review — Publishes a wide variety of the best essays from radical zines, tabloids, books and magazines.

Infoshop.org — Information of interest to anarchists, anti-authoritarians, and other activists.

Independent Media Center — A collective of independent media organizations and hundreds of journalists offering grassroots, non-corporate coverage. Indymedia is a democratic media outlet for the creation of radical, accurate, and passionate tellings of truth. There are over 100 Independent Media Centers on six continents.

Protest.net — A collective of activists who are working together to create their own media. Includes a calendar of actions against globalization worldwide.

Conferences and Education

Institute for Social Ecology — Plainfield, VT. An independent institution of higher education dedicated to the study of social ecology. The ISE offers intensive summer programs, a year-round B.A. degree program, and various workshops and other events.

National Conference on Organized Resistance — Washington, DC. An annual conference which features dozens of workshops, panel discussions, and skillshares, along with tabling by radical groups, political demonstrations, and benefit shows. Held in Februrary/March every year.

Labor

Jobs with Justice — Works to improve working people’s standard of living, fight for job security, and protect workers’ right to organize.

IWW — The International Workers of the World (IWW) is a fighting labor union that strives to unite all working people as a class in one big union.

Prisons, Prisoners, Legal Support

Critical Resistance — Seeks to build an international movement to end the Prison Industrial Complex by challenging the belief that caging and controlling people makes us safe.

Anarchist Black Cross Network — Fund-raises on behalf of prisoners or defense committees in need of funds for legal cases or otherwise, and organizes demonstrations of solidarity with imprisoned anarchists and other prisoners.

National Lawyers Guild — United States. Association of lawyers, law students, legal workers, and jailhouse lawyers working for basic change in the structure of our political and economic system.
